Caroo Tutoring emerged to cater for a noticeable and growing need for personal, relational after-school assistance. We offer one-on-one tutoring and assisted homework for primary and high school learners, all in the privacy of your own home, after school hours. The one-on-one approach stems from the fact that a classroom setting cannot cater for an individual’s needs all the time and that self-confidence and willingness to ask questions during class are often lacking. This personal interaction with a tutor, who is personally interviewed, screened and matched with specific learners, is then vital. Caroo Tutoring will never undermine what the learner is getting in the classroom, but instead aims to boost this by providing support and extra focus on what the learner is doing at school – whether its filling in gaps from previous years, helping to assimilate current work or helping to improve marks.

All our tutors have access to curriculum, a resource library for extra material, study methods, learning methods and other relevant material. We work with the tutor in obtaining this material to make sure that each learner’s actual needs are met.

We like to build and maintain a personal relationship with our tutors, which means that we are in contact with them every week and encourage communication from them, especially if they encounter any problems, which are then dealt with immediately. Our goal is that every action, whether with a learner or tutor, is underscored by a personal relationship.
